Buy with confidence, we will happily swap sizes for you.
Sitka sizing is comparable to New Zealand and Australian sizes - so if you wear a large in a work shirt a large in Sitka will generally be the right fit too.
Order the same size in base and outer layers, the outer layer in the same size is designed to fit over the layers that are likely to be worn underneath it.

Collections: Hunting Trousers & Pants, Sitka NZ Store Core Range, Sub-Alpine, Wapiti Ballot Sitka Gear List.
Category: Men's, Sub-Alpine
Type: Pants
Light, warm, and tougher than gnarly scrub, the Mountain Pant specializes in moving fast in the mid and late seasons. For 2016, we rebuilt it from the ground up with a more precise fit and a newly-developed fabric, making rugged stalks quieter and more comfortable then ever.
The Mountain pant offers an articulated fit with tapered legs and a fully gusseted crotch for maximum range of motion with minimal bulk to reduce friction and noise.
Removable knee pads offer additional protection whether you’re scrambling through talus in the Northern Rockies, picking your way through cactus in the Sonoran Desert, or field dressing an animal.
The DWR finish resists light precipitation and prevents the face fabric from wetting out
I’m finding the Sitka Mountain Pant both durable and comfortable. These are the second pair I’ve bought now and I primarily use the pant for Sambar deer hunting in the Victorian high country. The Sub Alpine pattern blends in well with the environment I hunt. If your after a Mountain Pant that’s reasonably priced I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Really impressed with the Sitka gear. Build, and overall quality of the pants exceeded my expectations.
Fit and cut is excellent with good length in the crutch to waist, will suit NZ hunters well. The pant has very good stretch and doesn’t restrict movement. I used them mid summer and they were just on the hot side during high activity, I mountain biked in with 26kg in my pack and the pant comfortable to wear. Early morning and evening cool Northwest strong wind near the main divide did mot penetrate the pant, good when glassing. This pant would be perfect for Spring, early summer and Autumn hunting and with a core base layer will work well in most winter situations. For the hottest of summer days around camp there are other options within the Sitka range. The scent control treatment is very good, superior to other brands that I’ve used. The pockets combinations are all you need in a pant with good depth. In summary, well worth the investment.
