The Sitka Gear Mountain Hauler 4000 is the perfect pack for day hunts or overnight stays when you need the ability to carry meat and antlers out of the field simultaneously. The pack provides 60 litres of non-expanded volume for easy hiking with the capability to expand 13 litres when needed. The internal load-hauling shelf and antler straps beg for the workload when it’s time to get your harvest out of the field. The T-6 6061 aluminum frame provides for an adjustable suspension and a strong chassis enabling you to carry loads upwards of 60kgs. The two vertical exterior pockets hold most spotting scopes, tent poles or a bivy. The side pockets will hold tri-pods, trekking poles or water bottles. The triple-density foam waist belt maximises comfort while Velcro placed on the waist belt holds other SITKA pack accessories.

This is my second big Sitka pack and a definite up grade from the previous one which is now ten plus years old and has served me well. The new mountain hauler pack has plenty of adjustment in the torso length and the hip belt can be cranked down so that its a perfect fit those of us with a size 30 inch waist with just a base layer on. Its got plenty of storage for 4-5+ days backcountry hunting and I found carrying loads of 25 -30kg plus comfortable. Its hydration compatible and fits a 3litre bladder and the external pockets are great fit for spotting scopes first aid kits or walking poles. I've also used it as a day pack as the top lid can be removed and the whole pack compresses down to a third of its size. Ive found Grant at Safari supply company knowledgeable and his customer service amongst the best. Cheers Grant
